A Monthly Money Review for People Trying to Build More Income
A simple monthly review checklist for income experiments, side hustles, and freelance work.
A monthly money review should be short enough that you actually do it. The goal is not perfect accounting. The goal is to notice what changed.
Start with cash. How much is in checking and savings? Then list debt balances, required payments, expected taxes, and upcoming large expenses.
Next, review income. What came from employment, freelance work, products, referrals, refunds, or one-time payments? Separate reliable income from experimental income.
Then ask one business question: which activity created the most useful money for the least chaos? That answer should shape next month's effort.
End with one action. Raise a price, cancel a tool, follow up on an invoice, build a product page, improve a sales message, or move cash to savings.
